Herbals for Babesia?

I had a follow-up w/ my Dr. on Thursday. It went really well. I asked her probably about 30 questions that I had from researching over the past 3 months and she answered every one of them and never seemed impatient at all, which was wonderful compared to past Dr. experiences.

She said that she suspects Babesia based on several of my symptoms. She said that I could get checked for it through Fry labs, as they do a better job of finding it, but that it would cost about $600 and that she was going to treat me clinically even if that came back negative.

Anyway, I'm on Rifampin for Bart. She said that the Babs meds can't be combined with Rifampin and that Bart. takes a minimum of 6-8 months to get rid of. I've been on Bart treatment for 3 months. So, she wants to add Bactrim in to help really hit the Bart hard, wait 3 more months, stop Rifampin, and start treating the Babesia.

My question is, are there any herbal Babesia treatments that can be combined with Rifampin? I'm going to call my LLMD next week and ask her, but I'm just curious. I hate to "sit on" the Babesia for 3 more months. She's open to herbals.

Byron White makes an herb for Babs called A-Bab. I used their herb for Bart called A-Bart. I know that you can take the A-Bart with Rifampin because I do. I'm not sure about the A-Bab however. Byron White has a website that you may want to check out as it may have info on whether or not you can combine it.

There are a few options but check with your doc to see if there are any interactions with the meds you are already on.

Artemisinin, a product called Enula from Nutramedix and Byron Whites A-bab.
