Gosh, what a mess. Positive for Lyme, Babs (couple yrs ago), CEBV, HHV6, the Parvo Virus 19 or whatever, and now the 2 most toxic mycotoxin groups.
You know how you can kind of distinguish many of your symptoms at times but so many overlap? Dx for the others about 3-4 yrs ago and most recently the mycotoxins, black mold being amongst. These were very positive results from Real Time Labs.
Important to note that I have had brief periods of less symptoms, tho never well yet. Altho my Dr did not recommend this at the time, I took my Mepron for a few months, figured that should be enough to knock it and stopped. It's a strong med which I don't want to take if I don't need it. But that is the question. I know it is a question for the Dr and that is coming up next week, but I would like input from experienced, knowledagable folks here. Have also been on high doses of Augmentin for several years and LDN, tho I missed a month or so at the end of last year.
I started getting sicker and more often since last summer. Now, almost every weekend I feel very ill, as if going thru cycles. Several types of Pain, profound fatigue, mental issues, sweats, and aches. Does not sound like Lyme as I"ve heard Lyme reproduces every 2 weeks. What about Babs? Does anyone know about that?
I have started back on Mepron in desperation. Hope to get answers from LLMD w/ symptoms, but symptoms of all of these overlap. I tested positive for Microti and WA on first test. It stated that the titres (or whatever) were high enough to indicate acute and possibly appear on blood smears. (altho I was not acute). We took another test about 2 yrs later and the numbers are the same. However, the Dr said this could not be definitive because I had already been infected and the antibodies would still show. Shouldn't those numbers have improved if Babs was taken care of or might they not change? I inquired about a blood smear, but he explained how that would most likely not show us what we wanted -- too many red blood cells would have to be viewed.
Also, is it possible w/ Babs to have a little herx appx 2 hrs after a dose? I always sweat something out around that time. Is that coincidence or indicate a true babs herx?
What else can I do? Now that I know about the mycotoxin infections, we can attribute many symtoms to this. But I want to stay on Mepron if I still have active Babs and I want to stop taking it if I do not.
I like my LLMD a lot. But as I think we know, LLMDs will tend to prescribe everything and anything if you might be struggling w/ a particular infection. I do have one complaint which I will ask him to address: testing my liver and kidneys after so many meds.
Should I just stay on my Lyme and mycotoxin meds and wait and see?
DOES A ONE WEEK CYCLE MEAN ANYTHING TO ANYBODY?
