Bad Cold after being on Doxy

Hi All:

I have not had a bad cold for years. I have two grandchildren who are always sick I feared getting their colds and I never did.. I always felt that I have enough problems, I don't need a cold. about two months ago I finally started taking abx for Lyme. All of a sudden out of nowhere i came down with a horrible cold and cough. I didn't know anybody that had one. It just appeared. Is there a connection. Does it have anything to do with starting these meds. Does it weaken the immune system?

If doxy was killing off bacteria, the resulting increase of symptoms could be herxing. I get horrible flu-like symptoms when I'm herxing and usually I can tell it's herxing because no one that I'm in close contact with exhibits the same symptoms.

If it is just a common cold,that is really good news !

It means that your immune system is finally starting to do its job.
