Hi All,
I don't post much but, I do continue to read a lot here. I am on Day 59 of the essential oil treatment for my lyme + coinfections. I'm feeling better than I did during the first three weeks but, not great yet.
I notice that many people post about the troubling weight gain that comes with lyme disease. I am no exception to that... having gained 30 lbs in the past couple of years. However, I think I may have found a solution to the weight gain, or at least something that might help, and I thought I'd post it for others to try. Obviously everyone's physiology is different and what works for one, may not work for another.
Fruit smoothies (1-2 / day) seem to help my body to pee out the water weight. I use one cup of mixed fruit from my local grocery store (usually containing strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, and kiwi) and two cups of water.
Within 2-3 days of adding the smoothies to my routine, I began peeing out the excess water that I've been carrying around. My fingers, ankles, thighs, and tummy pooch are noticeably smaller.
I have to wonder if it's the extra potassium in the smoothie that is assisting in the correct water balance for my body.
Just something to try and see if it works for you.
