Well more likely fleas/ticks hitching a ride on your dog into the house. Don't let your dog sleep in your bed and check for ticks/fleas often. A lot of people have said that garlic is the best way to prevent ticks on dogs. I still use the standard Frontline on my dog because he's still a puppy and they don't recommend giving garlic to puppies for some reason.

Wow are you serious about
your dog? We just asked our vet about
dogs and lyme and he said not much of a chance they will get it where I live. Even though I have lymes! He said the test is as hard as for a human to get positive results.......Can I ask what state you live in?

mystery1,
Yes, your dog probably brought a tick into your house. My opinion is that the majority of veterinarians are lyme-literate, whereas the majority of MD's are not!
