My name is Jaye and i am 23 years old. I believe I may have lyme disease and the symptoms seems to fit the criteria. toward the end of I saw noticed of bugs around the house some of them looked like they might have been ticks anyways one morning i woke up and noticed a flat black dot on my face and didn't pay any mind to it but couple of days later a strange dark ring formed around it, it was a small ring afterwards burning sensation in my right arm began and i became crazy fatigued(I couldn't even do my finals properly) and got a fever and thought that might have been the flu and started popping zinc pills in after a while, I started getting mental confusion and memory problems. Toward the end of december I couldn't stand properly like my legs buckled a lot and i felt like i was drunk and stumbling around everywhere. Fast forward to now my legs are still weak and i have knee pain and i still get the arm burning sensation and I still become fatigued during the evening even though i got a full night's rest and now i have strange rapid heart beat and still have memory problems. Do you think this is lyme disease? Are there any LLMD available in the NYS that accepts medicaid? I know lyme disease is a great imitator of 300 different diseases but my pessimist mind still thinks I might have ALS(I have been getting faciculations on and off. and that is making me think it might be ALS) also i have been having tongue problems like it doesn't work like it used to and it has burning sensation. Please help. Do you guys know of any LLMD in the NYS?

There's a lot that sounds like Lyme in that. Look around this forum a while to see what you can use. The Google custom search button really helps you dig up good stuff.

Try searching for LLMD in NY. Ask questions of people here, there's a wonderful family of supportive knowledgeable folks available to give you ideas. If you are looking for particular resources, someone here probably has them available for you.

Oh, and start a thread called Need LLMD in NY. People will help.

I was told early on that breaking up posts into 2-3 lines of text at a time helps people with neuro symptoms to read them better.

I know how you are feeling, Ive been there for years now and am not 100% sure its lyme yet. although Ive ruled out everything else. take extra good care of yourself, eat well and rest.

Jaye, am really happy you joined this Lyme group. You can find lots of good information and support on this site. As the moderators would say, you may want to check out the "New to Lyme" thread at the beginning of the forum. Also, my husband was diagnosed with ALS last summer. If for some reason you get this diagnosis - and there's a good chance it's not- you can write to me and I will let you know what his treatment has been. He is slowly getting better and he's not young like you are. You have that advantage. Stay positive because if you have Lyme, it is treatable.
