Ya know the saddest part is....if this was addressed correctly when I went in with an EM rash and deer tick bite, it would have saved me AND my insurance company each about
10k dollars. When I am 6 months better I am going to get all of my paperwork together and go talk with my insurance company. Not somebody high up but at least a supervisor and show them on pen and paper how they just lost 10k that could have only cost them about
$500.
I know they aren't going to turn around and do a 180.0 degree turn.....but my hope would be that AT least for the newer folks that are being proactive about getting a treatment if they have a rash will get ILADS guidelined treatment immediately rather then the 'lets wait and see' approach.
