Why does Bartonella cause neurologic dysfunction?

Hi everyone, I would like someone to explain why Bart causes neurological dysfunction. I'm treating Bart again with my herbalist and my face feels soooooo weird! I'm praying over the next couple of weeks I will see the light and the flare up will die down and just go away! Thanks :-)

What kind of neuro dysfunction are you experiencing? You mention your "face feeling weird". Is it numb? Tingly? Do you have any other neuro symptoms like brain fog or brain buzzing?

I don't have an answer as to "why", but I'm curious because I've been dx with Bart (LLMD thinks I've had it for 32 years) and wanted to see what kinds of symptoms you're experiencing.

Wow! 32 years!!!! That's crazy! Yes I feel like my face is frozen from underneath at times, tingling and facial sensations underneath as well. Around my lips, cheeks and my actual lips. Then we have the twitches as well (mouth/jaw twitches), jaw tightness and headache.

It's moreso disturbing (except this left sided headache) I wish it would go away!

I read that Bart causes a lot of neuro issues or increases them.

Let's not forget anxiety too.

I know...crazy.

I was bitten by a kitten (she did not let go for several minutes) in 1981. I was hospitalized for infection in my hand and had surgery. We suspect I was infected with Bart at this time. My medical history shows a large number of bart symptoms over the last 20 years, escalating recently. We are now concerned I may have passed it to my 7 year old daughter who has been diag with adhd. :(

I still don't have the answer to your question....why?

I am interesting in your left sided headache...is that new for you? Is it bart related? I've suffered from left sided headaches (more like face pain really) for many years. I wonder if that was the bart too?

I've had those same facial sensations you're speaking of...not fun. :(

The left sided headache started when I began Teasel Root tincture. It went away today. Yes it feels like my face is under attack at times. But I know its a flare because Bart doesn't want to get kicked out and that's what's happening.

I'm going to start Jamaican Sasparilla Root Tea next week and do this regiment for a month or so.
