In the last year I've had 2 echocardiograms, a chest x-ray, and probably 3 EKG's. I've worn the heart monitor at home, and in the hospital. I've been to the ER and stayed over for observation. I was finally diagnosed with tachycardia when they caught it, and am on a low dose beta blocker. I now know that this is all from the Lyme, so I try resting easy and I do believe my actual heart is healthy. I went about a month without too many episodes, but the last 2 weeks, all of my symptoms seem worse and I haven't even started treatment. When I'm woken out of a sleep with a banging heart and I'm probably around 160 bpm, it terrifies me. I think the beta blockers help it to go back down a little faster, and since I know why it's happening, it quells my anxiety...a little. I sit very still and tell myself it won't last too long. But thinking of starting treatment and having this get worse is freaking me out. I do not want to have a heart attack from a herx. Another poster recommended Hawthorne, and I am going to bring that up with my LLMD. In the meantime, I suppose I'm just expressing my fear, but also trying to keep that in check, as it, too, can make any symptoms worse.

I will look into the turmeric. It is interesting that you make a correlation between the frequency of "episodes" and inflammation. I am doing a lot of work right now to revamp my diet, and just read a bunch about foods that cause inflammation. It's all a process, and I appreciate your feedback!

I, too, am hopeful that these issues will slowly resolve over time :)
