I haven't posted any more of my stuff since I first asked questions about
my igenex test results. I thought I'd give an update and ask about
challenging with Byron White Formulas.
Since my igenex testing, I've seen 3 LLMDs. All have differing opinions and ideas of what is wrong with me.
A reminder of my original igenex test:
IFA = equivocal
IgM
31 +
34 IND
39 IND
41+
83-93 IND
IgG
39 IND
41++
Since that test, I had the IgM 31 kDa Epitope test done. It was negative.
So, no lyme?
Then I did the co infections through igenex:
babesia = negative
HME ehrlichia igG = equivocal
A phag (anaplasma) = equivocal
bartonella = negative
All docs I've seen say Yes, I have lyme. 2 docs say b burgdorferi, 1 says he thinks b hermsii.
2 of the 3 think I have bartonella, even though I'm testing negative. This is based on my symptoms and a serious infection from a cat bite many years ago.
1 doc says possible flea bite carrying borrelia, ehrlichia and a. phag since I have no memory of tick bite or rash. Doc can't explain why I am testing negative for lyme on band 31. BUT, says certainly must have it because I have 2 coinfections and those coinfections travel with lyme.
1 doc says no borrelia burgdorferi, but possible borrelia hermsii, which is transmitted by a soft body tick. Can't explain how I got ehrlichia and a. phag which is transmitted by hard body ticks.
So, I have tests out right now for:
--rerun igenex igM
--CD57
--coinfeciton panel through quest
--mthfr
--mold panel
--additional western blot testing through quest incl hermsii and toxoplasmosis and a bunch of other stuff
Until then, I am taking:
--200 mg doxy bid
--250 azithromycin bid
--starting rifampin tomorrow
I've been on abx for 4 weeks and I've slowly, slowly been feeling better. Which is super. Until this morning.
When I took 1 drop of Byron White's A-Bart.
I was wanting to see if I had a reaction, particularly because 2 docs think I may have it even though I'm testing negative.
I was feeling sick within 45 mins: sick, sore, tired, nausea, brain foggy. Then came the rage. Then came the anxiety. I am still anxious 8 hours later.
Has anyone else challenged with BWF? Is it even conceivable that I would react so quickly? Should I go slowly or, as I have read, do like 5 drops and see what happens? I'm not trying to treat myself with the A-Bart, I'm trying to challenge and see IF I have it.
Thanks! :)
