Did anyone NOT have a horrible Rifampin reaction?

Seems like that's all I have been reading. =( I need to start it but I am scared to death! I would like to hear if anyone out there didn't have the horrible side effects with Rifampin. Also, how would you know if it was a CNS herx or a side effect?

I didn't have any side effects from Rifampicin, but I herxed on it, pretty bad, but not as bad as on Minocyclin and Azythromycin. I herx bad, worse and worst - lol.

My sister had a huge reaction caused by the Rif: a terrible candida outbreak, she was treated for it with Nystatin (THANK you again Summer16), and then started again on Rif, and is doing fine, no horrible herxing... she handles it very well now.

Rifampin was an absolute walk in the park for me. Easy on the stomach and the only herx I got was it brought on some red streak-mark rashes on my back and a few days of waking up with my throat on fire. Both of those would fade very quickly. I definitely found it easier than taking Doxy (though that's not so bad) or even supplements like oregano oil and monolaurin which bring on herxes that make me feel crappy. I will tell you though that all my symptoms are on the mild side so I may not be the best gage for you.
