Today 3 red nodules appeared on my left forearm. They are tender, and circular but nothing I have seen before.

I have been treating lyme and babesia for 15 months. I had a total remission in June and July but have many symptoms return.

I also notice an increase in my anxiety levels, everyday it gets really bad at 4:00 p.m. I have been feeling I should not go out and deal with society I am very grouchy and inpatient.

Any suggestions about what is going on?

Should I put on anything on these areas?

You could try rubbing thieves oil mixed with olive oil. I wouldn't worry about it too much. I'm glad you had two good months! The bacteria seem to cycle so you could just be going through a dying phase. :/ Hope you feel better.

Lyme is known to produce nodules under the skin - is this what you are talking about?

The anxiety specifically at 4 o'clock every day hints at adrenal issues - I would highly encourage you to have a 24 hour saliva test done for your adrenal function. This is the only test for adrenals that will give an accurate picture of what their output levels are so that you will know before they crash that they need support.

Good Morning Traveler,

I am not sure if they are from lyme or bartonella. I have always had negative test results from bartonella, so I'm not sure.

When I was first diagnosed I had a few skin issues. Honestly, I did not pay that much attention as I had so many more pressing issues.

My lyme and babesia symptoms have improved so now, is it bartonellas turn?

I tried rifampin but after a couple days was totally manic. I stopped taking it but it took  a couple weeks for me to settle down into my usual panicked self.

Also I wondered if you could tell the difference between lyme rage and anger(issues from bartonella?

I should have my adrenals checked I did have that problem in the past, How soon we forget..

Honestly, I couldn't ever tell the difference between the Lyme rage and the issues that Bart can cause with serious anger issues. I would suggest that you do some reading on Dr. James Scahller's site for a lot more info on Bart (and Babesia too if you need it), as he's written extensively on these infections.
