Important Question About Western-Blot

So it's been a little while since I've frequented the site, so if you do frequent the site you'll likely not remember me. To sum up my situation, I was taking oral antibiotics on n off for 8 months. Pretty heavy regimen... Flagyl, Septra, Amoxicilin, Doxycyclene, and I had to stop because I felt I had gotten fairly better but for at least a few months was not seeing much of an improvement. Stopped taking them altogether in February or so, and felt pretty good until then. Many of my symptoms, although still present, had greatly abated. Until now. I feel absolutely horrible. In the past 5 days I've been suffering a drastic increase in migrating joint pains (new and old) intense muscle pains, feverish, fatigued, and extremely painful spleen or spleen area, which was one of the first symptoms I had.

I live in Canada and cannot continue to pay for meds or doctors appointments in Buffalo (they're by far more expensive than the meds are), however I tested negative twice in Canada using the Elisa protocol.

This whole spiel boils down to this one question. Are you more likely to test positive using the Western Blot when you have a sudden onset/spike/return in symptoms?? I'd really hope so because I'm going to try to press my family Doctor to overlook basic protocol and order me the Western Blot. Having such a diagnosis in Canada would probably go a long way in helping.

Thanks Traveler! I'm hoping that by having been on abx AND showing a severe increase n symptoms, I'll receive a positive diagnosis in Canada. It may be a pipe dream but I don't have much else to believe in right now.
