okay so I don't like taking pictures is days because I've lost 25 to 30 pounds to to lyme. my family visit for the weekend so we took a family photo and I posted it on facebook yesterday. I stood in the back of the family on purpose so people could not see how much weight I lost but you can see it in my face and in my neck. long story short someone made a comment on Facebook in regards to how much weight I lost and then they asked, "are you okay. I was so upset I took the picture down. Some people really don't know what to say or how to word their thoughts correctly.on top of that I had some neurological symptoms flare up because of an increase in my herbal protocol.

what a way to start the Labor Day.

I hope everyone else has a wonderful day and week. I'm learning to just try and shake comments off some people are just not good for my healing.

I'm a retired RN due to viruses and now Lyme. Into my 4th IV week. Hard in Texas. Heard comments, people backed away from me in groceries, I get it. Even my primary doctor's nurse talked like a fool.

Unfortunately, just because someone works in a doctor's office it doesn't meant that they are smart or polite. I'm so sorry that you have had to endure any of this!

Wow Nurse needing help...people are so inconsiderate. Sorry you had to endure that. There are people at work that walk right by me. They put their heads down and don't say hello. Very trifling.

Personally, I'd prefer a coworker to walk by without saying anything, as opposed to opening their mouth and saying something stupid. :)

Hey sknight, that sounds like an even trade about the weight issue LOL. And I agree with you...never looked at it like that :-)

Good luck losing while I try to gain. Do they have a reality show called, "The Biggest Gainer!" LOL. I would be a #1 contestant!
