It is extremely important to take care of as many underlying issues as possible before treating the actual Lyme and co's. I personally have Lyme + ehrlichiosis and Systemic Candida.
The diet has been tough for me but i have managed. It really isnt that bad once you find and combo you like and stick with it. For the yeast treatment this is what i have been following to a fault...
IT IS IMPORTANT TO READ ALL LABELS OF WHAT YOU EAT AND DRINK
AVOID
sugar,dairy,splenda,sucralose,cane,sucrose,maple syrup, honey, Molasses,alcohol, corn syrup
Anything high in carbs such as: bread,pasta,cake,
cookies,nuts,almond milk, coconut, fruits,crackers, cerials
Also best to avoid: Rice, potatoes, corn,peas,peppers,carrots,tomatoes, squash, artichokes,avocados, beets,egg plant, kale, onion, parsnips,beans other than green beans and wax beans, mussels, oysters and any processed meats.
GOOD FOODS
Pure meats and fish with no additives: Beef,Turkey,pork,chicken
Tofu, eggs, celery,broccoli, ice burg and romaine lettuce, spinach, green beans, cucumbers,radishes,asparagus, CERTAIN mustards, Food for life brand Ezekiel 4:9 torilla bread, Dukes Mayo
As for the abx. My llmd explained to me that he is having me start off gradually because does not want to flood my body with toxins as he believes it is counter productive to healing. He wants to manage it so my body is able to rid itself of the "junk" and adapt before each increase in dosage. Increases will only happen once i am no longer feeling a herx and if I do herx strong enough to really put me down dosage will be backed off until i improve. There is a delicate balance i guess.
