anyone seen Dr. R, LLND in Oregon?

I am looking for a dr and Dr, R's name has been given to me via this forum and another lyme forum.  She's not close - about 8 hours away - but it seems anyone is about 8 hours away.  I saw a LLMD in Seattle that didn't work out for a variety of reasons and as a result, I have been very hesitant to trust another dr and spend the tons of money that is involved in establishing that "partnership".  I can't go into this so blindly again - in terms of finding another LLMD/LLND.


If anyone has seen Dr. R in Oregon, could you please let me know your experience and thoughts?  Thanks so much.

I'm assuming your talking about the LLND, not MD. If so, I haven't been to her, but she has spoken a few times at the Lyme support group I go to and several members have seen her and seem to like her quite a bit. Her talks were helpful and her heart is in the right place, unlike many other doctors. I'm still seeing a doctor in southern WA, which is closer to home. My dh has to drive me, so I try to keep it close. I might be able to give you the email address for the head of the support group and he might be able to tell you more about her and he may have used her before. It seems that with Lyme, you often have to try a few doctors before find one that will work for you since they all have different ideas of how to treat Lyme. I can tell you that she is a nice and caring person.

Garden Peace, thanks for the info - very much.  I too live in WA - you see a dr in southern WA? Would you be willing to email me and let me know who you see and what your experience has been?  I tried to email you but didn't see an email for you.  Southern WA would be so much closer for me than Portland.   Also yes if you can get me the email of the support group person, that too would be so good.  I thank you so much.

I just wrote to him to see if he'd mind me giving his email address, so I'll let you know when I hear back from him. I'm pretty sure he wouldn't mind, but thought it would be best to ask. I hope you're getting some sun today like we are. :)

Thanks GardenPeace (I love your name!).  It is pretty cool here today - in the mid 50's - sweater weather. We did have some lovely sun though - nice.  Thank you for your help - I so appreciate it.

Gardening is my passion and brings me a lot of peace. :)

It feels like fall. I had to double up my wool blanket last night, but I tend to get cold easily. Today is supposed to get up to 80 today, so that will feel good. I'm not ready for fall and winter. I picked a bunch of tomatoes yesterday, more than I expected to get, so that was nice.

Let me know how the Dr. search goes.
