Hello friends. The question may be simple but here is my problem and confusion: How can you tell when the body is herxing vs. when the symptoms are due to the bacteria impacting the body?
I am on antibiotics and they are helping me, but every month or so, I get a sudden onset of symptoms that seem to be unaffected by the antibiotics. For example, my dizziness, headaches, mental confusion, body aches, cold chills, and arthritis were gone or almost gone. But then overnight once a month they all show up with a vengeance and very strong.
I am only treating Lyme at this point (Amoxicillin and Clarithomycin) so can it be possible that this is a life cycle of Bartonella or Babesia? Specially since it seems to happen once a month. The symptoms last for a week or two then they go away and it happens a month later. By the way, I am male so it I doubt that it is a menstrual cycle (maybe a malestrual cycle?).
I have not really herxed with the antibiotics, and if I have, I don't know the difference between the normal pain and herxing. maybe someone here can tell me?
I have read the "New to Lyme...start here" many times as well as two of Buhner's books but none really tell you the difference between the normal pain and herxing.
I am doing the detoxing (foot and body bath) and the dry brush thingy but I have not noticed any improvement from it. Then again, maybe that's why I don't herx?
Sorry if this post is fragmented and doesn't make sense. The arthritis and mental confusion make it hard to type and to put words together.
