Lost my doc - looking for good co's to buy herbs

WAAAAA!!!! Because of needing to take care of her parents, my doc is moving out of state. So now I need to find reputable companies to buy herbs from and I'm not sure which ones to trust!

I know that 1st Chinese Herbs, Starwest Bontanicals are both good, but they don't carry all the herbs that I will need. I'm in need of some specific herbs that aren't easy to find. The worst one is ground white peony root, and raw, ground licorice root.....at least at this point! I'll know more when she gets back into town and I can pick her brain for what all I am currently taking.

Anyone with suggestions of which companies are reputable would be greatly appreciated! I'll look up my own herbs. smilewinkgrin

Thank you so very much in advance!!! What would I ever do without this forum???? I mean besides the facts that I would have never had the chance to heal from these diseases, make new friends and get a better education that any doc in these parts?smilewinkgrin

Oh Geez, Razzle!! I don't have any clue as to why I didn't think of that!! blush Now I need to have that little guy who's bashing his head against the wall!! Thank you so very much!!!!


Thank you, Writer!! I did check Mountain rose herbs - they don't carry the kind of herbs that I'm needing. Ground, raw licorice, and ground white peony root is a lot harder to find than I suspected!

I'm not sure where you live but is there maybe an herb farm that you could go to in your area? It's easier to trust where your medicine comes from if you can meet with the people who grow it...

Sorry for not answering!! Had to attend to some errands and then I was off and about to go see my son and his wife (they are the ones that have my goats for those who know about this)! What a wonderful visit we had! And the goats are doing well! smilewinkgrin

Anyway, thank you Opugirl!! I'll look into those companies!

Borderlyme!! How are you doing???? Oh gosh! It's been a while since we've talked! I do hope that you are healing well! (oops, no pun intended!) I only wish there was an herb farm anywhere near me - even if I had to travel several hours! The closest one is an 8 hour trip - one way. But, thank you for your suggestion!! I hadn't thought of that.

Hi Denise! I do think I've found the ones I need for now. Having to find both Western and Chinese herbs is quite challenging! LOL! I've discovered that ground, raw licorice root and ground white peony root isn't easy for a regular person to find! LOL!
