My DH grew up on his grandfather's farm. He did a lot of the work there like he does here. He spends most of his time outdoors cutting, mowing and general upkeep of the small home farm where we live.

He did get bit by a tick a few years ago. Had a bulls eye rash etc. They gave him like 1 doxy dose. He never fell ill etc.

I have been ill for a few months now. My husband recently developed a rash on his back which has since subsided. He was told it was ringworm but the cream they gave him made it worse.

As Im starting to see improvement with the antibiotics Im noticing he is exhibiting some of the same signs I did before I was diagnosed.

He doesnt have any physical symptoms, although there is one red spot where the rash was.
He is having mood swings and doing things that dont make any sense. He is a very intelligent and logical person so it is noticable. Also I have warned him how vague symptoms can be and how to be on the look out etc.

I think I was in somewhat of a mania mode before the extreme fatigue set in. Im sure he thinks I am paranoid but I now what I am looking at. I dont think he will do a thing unless he falls very ill.

Anyone else seeing symptoms in family members ?

My daughter and I. She has been worse than me for years and after she was diagnosed and I learned more about it, I started thinking maybe I could have it too, but then I'd think of the fact that I wasn't debilitated like her, so it must not be. I was in her appt. with her one day and I mentioned to the doctor that I was thinking maybe I should get tested, just to rule it out. He said he was thinking I should probably do it too, but I told him I doubted it since I was healthier than her and he told me he had patients that appeared healthier than me, so I singed on with him and had it done and found out I do have it. I wondered if my mom had it too. I don't think I see any signs of it in my youngest kid and being a college student is a good test for it since there's a lot of stress and poor eating and sleeping habits

Hi Garden Peace. Thanks for sharing. Having my young child tested in mid November by LL clinic. I am going to make a testing appointment for my husband as well I think. Child has been complaining of headaches for a long time but he is healthy. I had his eyes checked and he has perfect vision. Husband has no physical symptoms similar to you but am noticing changes in his personality and behavior. Subtle.

My daughter's may have started with headaches. An eye doctor had her do exercises and that help lessen the severity, but she still had them. It was around 10 or 12 that we noticed some changes in her, but blamed it on puberty. I knew nothing about Lyme disease and it never came up in my years of searching for answers. She got more symptoms over the years and we were getting quite worried about her. She started the early college program when she was 16, but only made it through 1 year, because she was too fatigued to keep going. She tried an online class, but the teacher did a terrible job of keeping up with things, so she quit. If I hadn't decided to switch to a different doctor, we probably still wouldn't know.

So I hope your family doesn't have it, but if your daughter does, at least you can get her treated earlier than mine was. I wish we had known when she was younger so that she could be living her life now.

Wow Garden that is a sad story. But at least she was able to detect it. Im going to say some prayers for your daughter. I will let you know how we do with our testing. Whole family now involved with the only ll clinic that I can find in the state.

Yes, I'm glad it didn't go on any longer than it did. Lyme just isn't known by very many here in the PNW. The main reason I decided to switch to our doctor was so our insurance would cover some of our costs. He just happened to be a LLMD. He had been recommended by some friends for other reasons.
