Biaxin for Ehrlichia ?

I know I posted a few weeks ago about how well my treatment has been going but although things are in general going very well I'm concerned about whether or not biaxin / plaq is the best first line option for me seeing as I tested very positive for ehrlichia. The general consensus I've seen is that for patients with HME doxy is the best option for treatment before going on to dealing with the Lyme. I'm just concerned that what ever lingering symptoms I do have may be do to improperly treated HME. Should I ask my llmd about the possibility of taking a break from the biaxin and implementing doxy or is biaxin just as effective for treatment?
