Has anyone had success with Raintree SPIRO for Lyme?

 I am new to this forum.  Typical story of many unexplained symptoms for several yrs. I did have two negative Lyme tests early in my search for answers since I suspected Lyme.  After seeing many specialists, spending thousands of dollars and still not having answers, I went to a Dr. who specializes in natural medicine.  He recognized my symptoms immediately and diagnose me with Lyme. Although I have not had a positive test, I have had many tick bites over the years and have exhausted all other possibilities. I feel certain that I do have Lyme.  I am currently on Raintree SPIRO, as well as other vitamins and supplements. I have been on SPIRO for 3 months. My Dr. tells me that two of his other Lyme patients have has great success with SPIRO.  I also am on a Homeopathic treatment (my choice). I'm wondering if any of you have knowledge of others who have tried SPIRO and if they had good results.  Also,  I have yet to hear from anyone who has been cured with antibiotics.  Do you know of anyone who has been cured of late stage Lyme with antibiotics?  I will appreciate any info.  Thanks

Thank you for your response. I'm glad to hear that you are doing better. It is encouraging to hear that there is hope. The information that is being shared on this forum is helping me to form a plan for my treatment. I am already using herbs/vitamins and homeopathic treatment as well as SPIRO. I am keeping abx as an option if need be.

Raintree's SPIRO is a combination of plants, barks and herbs from the Amazon Rain Forest. All ingredients are harvested from sustainable sources. You can do a search under Raintree SPIRO and get a lot more info. from their site, although you can no longer purchase from them (long story). I'll try to give you a condensed description though. SPIRO is made up of 6 ingredients that have been used for many years in other countries to fight infections/illnesses. The woman who formulated this product did a lot of research on the various uses of these plants. One of the ingredients, in particular, was used to treat Syphilis, which is similar to Lyme. She found that the ingredient killed spirochetes in lab tests. She writes about her results with SPIRO on 100 Lyme positive patients. She had great success with this product. My Dr., who is LL but does not specialize in Lyme treatment, has had good results with the use of SPIRO with his patients. I'll try to keep everyone posted on my progress. ToddPaul, Although the Raintree site suggests that the Lyme patients who took place in the study were well in just three months, my Dr. told me that it took one of his patients a year and another 6 months to be symptom free. I have been on it for 3 months now. My Dr. thinks I have been Herxing since some of my symptoms have worsened. I don't have much experience with Herxing so I am taking his word for it. How long does Herxing last? I have heard from weeks to months. I will be sure to post my progress or lack of as I go along. I'm praying this works since it is not harmful to the body and usually there are no side effects except for Herxing.

Wow, I didn't realize it had been so long since I posted about Spiro. I've learned so much in my Lyme journey. Since that post my dr has decided to specialize in Lyme because so many of his patients were testing positive. Lucky me. Anyway, for the question on spiro. I am still taking it since I believe it is a good tool and because it greatly helps with another condition I have, Interstitial Cystitis. However, I think it is rare that spiro, on its own, is a cure. For me, what is working is a combination of herbal tinctures, detoxing, immune boosters, oral bio-active silver hydrosol and, most importantly, IV ozone. Soon I will be starting IV silver. My advice is to seek a well established Lyme literate clinic since they have learned through trial and error and will be informed on the latest Lyme treatments. I highly recommend a new book that is out called New Paradigms in Lyme Disease Treatment. In this book, the top 10 Lyme doctors reveal the strategies that have worked for them. I learned so much from the book and was greatly encouraged. I have seen many success stories. Hang in and don't give up.
