samento taste?

My wife needs to take the Samento, but the taste is so strong she has a hard time, does anybody have a way of cutting the taste?

Sorry I can't help you? I wasn't able to tolerate Samento, it was also to strong for me.

Like Csmm suggested: have you or your wife had the time to go through the 'New to Lyme? ... Start here!' thread on top of the lyme forum? It is has a huge amount on information about different treatments, detoxing, symptom lists, useful links, etc.

I always took Cat's Claw (Samento) in tablet form, so the taste wouldn't bother me.

If she is taking the powder, maybe you can put it in capsules?

Samento is a very strong (but very efficient) herb. When starting it, slowly build up the dosage, be sure it stays comfortable to handle. I myself had to build it up over a month's period and then had to cut back again, then build up again.

Two ways.

1) Put it in some kind of drink.
Juice, soda, anything... try different things that will mask the taste.

2) Take cat's claw capsules instead.
Cheaper, and you don't have to worry about the taste.

I believe cat's claw works just as well as samento, if not better. Stephen Buhner recommends cat's claw over samento.
