Looking for advice on 'next steps'

Hi all,

Was happy to just find this forum. My story, will try to be brief: I have been experiencing joint discomfort since 2009 (maybe earlier), had gone to a specialist for my shoulder pain in 2009 and was tested for Lyme which came back 'partially positive', but not positive enough to treat me. In 2010 I went to my GP with new pain in my hip, my recollection is that I asked if they would test me again for Lyme and they told me that I shouldn't as my insurance may not cover it because I had been tested a year earlier. They sent me to physical therapy. In June of this year I started to experience discomfort and inflammation in my spine, I went again to my GP and was finally diagnosed and treated with three weeks of doxycycline.

I feel 'better', my back is much better and I noticed a bit more energy than I had before; but I am not two weeks done with my treatment and still feeling discomfort in my shoulder and hip.

This whole thing is so scary, and when you dig into things....it gets even more scary. I guess my next step should be to find a LLMD? Can anyone suggest someone in the Northeast of MA? The last thing I want is to go and see someone and have them tell me there is nothing wrong. I just want to feel better, and get myself to the very best possible place I can be at.

Also noticing the itchy skin thing, which I have also had for years but it seems worse since I have been off antibiotics. Is that strange?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

BTW this disease causes rapid multisystem body and organ dysfunction. Nothing surprises me with this disease. I had heart palpatations, cognitive/memory problems, stabbing pains and a bunch of other horrible maladies...not the least of which was relentless pain. The abx will help you. Good luck to you.
