I was doing great for about 2 months with my diet- not really craving much sugar or carbs. But right now I am obsessing in my head about eating 2 full sleeves of Chip's Ahoy, or an entire bag of Milano cookies, or an entire bag of Dove chocolate. It's like my old childhood eating brain has been activated.

Last night I freaked and ate almost half a bag of baked potato chips with some cheese.

I feel like if it is a carbohydrate with either sugar or salt, I want it so bad right now.

There are so many good alternatives, but they just aren't doing it for me.

Does anyone go through bad craving periods?

Hi Binduspere,

Yeast can cause major carb cravings. Have you been checked for that? Do you take probiotics?

Oh my Gosh yes!

What I would not do to have a Whopper with a coke.

I can't have:
The bread (gluten intolerance)
The spices (GI problems)
The tomato or ketchup (GI problems)
The cheese (dairy issues)
The coke (caffeine, sugar, and carbonation issues)

One day I will just throw all caution to the wind and go for it....one day (but not today)

I had blood work for candida checked recently and my doctor said I'm fine.

I just realized that I'm probably due for my period soon, and those cravings are likely from that.

I do take a good probiotic.

I forgot to mention that Coke was on my craving list, as well.

I can seriously taste it right now.

I think everybody has cravings for good food. Candida or not. It is part of life and what we know. We just have to try to control it as much as possible. I think we have to eat what we want once in a while. At least once a week. I know I go to town at least that much. Alcohol and all. But I am pretty good all week.

Oh yeah!!!! Over the weekend my daughter made cookies from scratch...I thought...what the heck!! 2 cookies with chocolate icecream sandwhiched in the middle and I was sitting pretty until about 10 min later! Boy did i regret that one lol!!!

I agree with aphysicalwreck. Before you toss it (diet and all) to the wind, cheat a little. For many of us I bet it will help us go another loooooonnnnggg stretch behaving in our diets! Just keep the cheating on the diet on a leash, so-to-speak.

Yes....I allow myself a 'no no' treat here & there and tell myself it's for the sake of normalcy, lol....but the good part is, it's not a binge like prior

Hey Binduspire...Candida didn't show up in my blood work. The best way I had to get a positive check was through a pap smear or they said a stool sample. So you may want to check out that route...more accurate than blood.

Sorry...my bubble was bursted when my cultures came back yesterday with everything negative EXCEPT Candida...sigh...no more Pad Thai...Yucca Fries, etc. It's temporary.

No wonder I was having dreams of marble cheesecake! LOL!

I also looked up the symptoms and I have most of them! Time to get this yeast under control!

Healing98...what I wouldn't do for a Whopper Junior with Cheese, large fries and a Sweet Ice Tea and then go to Ben and Jerry's and get a large cup of Cherry Garcia Ice Cream.

Sometimes I give in. LOL there was one time right when I went off antibiotics I went nuts with the carbs and sweets. I have been having minimal carbs and zero sweets since this lyme shenanigans started.

It was great. My stomach hurt the next day but I haven't caved since and that was over two months ago. My diet isn't as strict though as it was.

And to resist any further temptations, I suggest packing up all the cookies and candy and mailing it far away (I'll PM you my address).

And, please, don't forget the Milano cookies.
