Hi Sapin,
welcome to our community!!
Please don't get discouraged by the posts you are reading. Please try to interpret it as information, not as something that discourages. You might encounter the same symptoms and side effects once you start treatment, if so, reading that it is 'common' is really reassuring.
This disease is just very very complex and the members are trying to find their way in the chaos that is overwhelming them/us. Treatment is hard, and confronts many of us with new bizarre symptoms that can be very scary, but are in fact normal for this disease.
I think few are really 'happy' to start abx... relieved, yes, that we have finally found the cause of our symptoms. But we need to see that starting abx or herbal treatment is the start of a healing process, no matter how hard it will be. It is a step forward!
Sometimes members need to vent when things are just too hard at that very moment. It is really important to have a connection with fellow lyme fighters, they are the only ones who really understand and feel what you are going through.
People react very different to abx, there is no way to predict how you will be doing on abx. My sister is doing well on abx, no major herxing, some side effects that fade away, some periods of increased fatigue, but she's coping well. My treatment is the total opposite.
I would like to advice you to go through the 'New to Lyme? .... Start here!' thread on top of the Lyme page, if you haven't yet. There is lots of information there: symptom lists of Lyme and the coinfections, interesting links, advice on how to detox, etc.
You can get prepared by following a detox protocol, and by continuing that once you started abx.
Also: there are many many success stories on here, it's not all doom and gloom (so to speak).
Good luck!!!
