Hi all,

Guess what I ate for dinner tonight?  Yep, pasta!  Zucchini Pasta!  I wanted to share this with you since I bought this machine on Amazon and tried it out tonight for the first time and it was great!

The machine from Amazon is called Paderno World Cuisine Spiral Vegetable Slicer but I paid about $25.00 for it so if you decide to purchase this, watch Amazon as the price changes every day..  Hey, if you could save $10.00 or more, why not?

Anyway, I didn't eat the zucchini raw, I sauteed the "pasta" in olive oil and added some spices and garlic... Really amazing and practically no carbs..  No gluten, no nothing except good stuff!

If you decide to use this machine, just be sure to wash all the parts  right after using so the plastic does not stain.

You can also use a julienne peeler to make a mock zucchini pasta - that's what I had tonight - good stuff!

Or get larger zucchini, slice them the long way so you get pieces that are as long as the squash, and can then use them as lasagna noodles! Yummy!

Yeah, I know I could use a peeler but this is one of those "toys" that I really wanted (it works really fast)!   Most of the time I live like one of those characters on "Little House" (minus churning butter, fetching water from the stream, etc.) so I like this toy...   Boys have their  toys and this girl wanted her toy!  LOL!

We use spagetti squash for pasta, although if not drained well can be a little mushy.

Make sure to buy organic zucchini, because I think most regular zucchini is now GMO.

You sound like me and my kitchen gadgets. I have a spiral slicer too and I used a carrot last time. Any firm vegie should work.
