Since I posted here the other day when I was at one of my lowest points, I only thought it fair to post today, while I'm having an especially good day. On Monday, after I took my first dose of Plaquenil, my anxiety and depression went through the roof. Tuesday and Wednesday were nearly unbearable. I'd honestly rather have the excruciating headache that I experienced for a few hours after the first dose than the pain of the emotional/mental symptoms that persisted for more than 48 hours straight.

But this morning, the black cloud was nearly gone, and I've been headache free, anxiety free and full of energy for most of the day. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with the three new herbs my naturopath gave me yesterday--Japanese Knotweed, Red Root and Sarsparilla--but I'm just grateful for the reprieve. I know these diseases work cyclically and I'm sure I'll experience more bad days, but it's sure nice to see the sunshine for a bit.

YEA!!! turn Happy dance time!!! yeah

I see every little bit of goodness that comes our way as a victory since it's one more time that we have won over these bacteria!

As you said, there will be more bad days, and as hard as they can be, we will still be here for you!!! And you will win!! One day you'll look back and say, "Wow! I haven't had a bad day all week!" and then things will still improve more!

One day at a time, and when that's too hard, it's one hour at a time, one foot in front of another. All we have to do is hold on until we can get to the end of our treatments.

soscared, so happy you have had a better day. More better days will come. It is up and down sometimes then with the right medication or herbs your symptoms should subside. At least that is what happened with me. I know have a more predictable state of health, with the exception of the still occasional off the chart migraines (yesterday). But those are now few and far between.

Keep posting about your progress and do whatever it takes to get through the bad days. I remember them well, hot baths, sleeping, deep breathing anything to distract me from the crazy symptoms.

That's great! Enjoy the day to the fullest and just take it one day at a time. I hope you will continue to improve and that you won't go back to that dark place. I went through that when I was very ill in my 20s, which now I think was Lyme.

Yeah!!!!!!!! Woooooo hoooo! Great stuff! I'm using sarasparilla too! It does tame the anxiety along with other symptoms. Glad this is all working out for you!
