Looking for an LLMD - Long Island or NYC

Hi,

I'm new to the forum but have a question. for the past 3 weeks I have been having symptoms similar to lymes disease. I blood tests state that strain 41 is positive and my level is 1.5 My doctor wants me to wait another month to retest my blood and is telling me the lab is stating it is undetermined. I can't keep going on like this and would like to find a specialist that is located on Long Island, NY preferably Nassau County but will go to NYC if need be. Any information on doctors would be helpful.

Hi GMOS,

Its very probable given your location, your experiencing symptoms and the antibody level at 1.5 (I'm assuming that is what it is, titer?) that you have lyme disease. I therefore am changing the title of your post to try to get you some good referrals to be evaluated by a lyme - literate physician. I know the feeling about not being able to carry on as I was very ill this past year. But I found myself a dr., thanks to the members on this site and am off treatment and doing well.

I would suggest giving a looksy over our "New to Lyme" thread. It talks about symptoms, coinfections, how to get a doctor and information you can start to use now to feel better- like detoxing!
