I am looking for a Lyme Literate Dr. in the Montpelier, Vermont area. Ideally, I would not like to drive more than one hour. I was diagnosed with chronic Lyme almost 20 years ago. I was treated with antibiotics for one year and was able to function symptom-free for many years. I was bitten this past summer and did not have any immediate symptoms. I did a short round of antibiotics (30 days) before moving with my family to Vermont. Since the move, I've had some familiar and not-so-familiar symptoms most likely brought on with a vengeance by the stress of moving. I have headaches, brain fog, tinitus, irritability & digestive upset. My doctor has been working with me to get my ferritin levels up (my level was 7 six months ago, and two months ago my level was up to 22). Now I'm experiencing shortness of breath, pain on the left side of my chest and down my left arm. I assumed these last few symptoms were due to the anemia and stress, but just found out they may be attributable to Lyme, as well. So, I'd like to find a Lyme literate doctor in my area and get proper testing. If you have anyone you can suggest, I would appreciate it.
