With all the information that suddenly gets shoved at a person with Lyme disease - while they are sick no less - it's no wonder we all end up at least slightly confused!!!
Are they finding cysts or lesions? Lesions are kind of common from what I can determine for those with Lyme & company.
Now this is an over simplified version of what happens I'm sure, but if I'm even close to understanding this......
The cyst forms that Lyme takes is just the spirochete curling up into a ball when it's threatened... or feels threatened. I'm not sure this can be seen on an MRI or PET scan, I think it takes really powerful microscopes.
