Had phone consultation with Dr. went over labs, he asked if I have dry mouth and

was going to the bathroom a lot. I said yes I thought he was going to tell my I was

diabetic, but said I was dehydrated.  So of course my crazy mind takes me other places

I'm thinking maybe I have another auto-immune disease, I've already got hashimoto,

I thought sjorgens  I hope not I don't want another one.  yes I do have dry eyes, but

there not all red. just alittle dry.  Does anybody else have this problem

I'm having a bit of this issue right now. It comes and goes. My ND put me on something and it helps a little bit but she said it should even out. Also with the colder weather, I realize I need to drink a lot more because the humidity plummeted (at least in Delaware). The amount that I used to drink isn't enough because it gets sucked right out of me!

I think it might be hormonal related also. I am still adjusting to being off antibiotics and having lyme get out of my system. My herbalist calls it the convalescense period. She said things will taper off and even out and they have been...just taking some time.

How are you doing? I see you and I are forum twins. How has your progress with lyme going?

Which problem, Moon? Dry eyes?

I had real issues with dry eyes for a while. I had to get lubricating eye drops with very little to no preservatives as the preservatives burned like crazy when I used drops with it in them!!

And so that you know, Lyme loves the bladder - among other places.

Is it fear that makes you want to believe you may have Sjogren's or are there other factors, besides the dry eyes and dry mouth as well?

It's fairly easy to get dehydrated when you have chronic Lyme too. So if it's just fear that is making you believe you could have something else, please try to calm yourself. What you are experiencing is still within normal things for Lyme.

If you have other reasons for believing you may have Sjogren's, then I would encourage you to be tested.

What time of day was your blood drawn? If it was a fasting blood test taken in the morning, that could explain it. That happens to my daughter.

I've been waking up with dry eyes a lot the past few months, but it seems to be getting better now.

Thanks everybody, yes I do have a very dry mouth and eyes.
Skin is dry but not bad, been using cocounut oil love that stuff
on my skin.... I feel better about the dry eyes and mouth I've never had this before.. My treatment is as follows. Started Dr. J
but found a wonderful herbalist in town.. very knowledgeable she
should me some articles on lyme and I told her I've already heard
of those herbs... Were starting on Tuesday, with a plan of attack
we were waiting for the results of some test one dr. ordered...
He thought I might have mold toxicity but not enough markers
showed up so thats good.. He also checked hormones estrogen
was good but very low on progestrone...He is suppose to be calling in a prescription for some bio progestrone. Hopefully that
will help with sleep issues.... well thanks never had the dry dry
mouth or the dry eyes.
