I used to think the same thing and found myself actually saying to people "well at least I know what I am going to die from." But I don't think that way anymore. Here's my logic. Let's face it, no one is in perfect health. We all as we age come down with different illnesses or chronic conditions or have them and don't know about
them.
The "good part about lyme" if there is one is that it can be an eye-opener. I have had so many tests and so much blood taken. They are by far perfect but at least I know what I have to keep an eye on and should be doing. Its our job to know our bodies and try and keep on top of things. Its the same with lyme. Lyme can be controllable once we get it to that stage. If we can get it into like a "remission" it can become like herpes or asthma where we keep it under control.
The hard part of course is getting to that point and I have to say it takes a lot of hard work but part of the hard work is determination and positive thinking. You have to think you will get there and work darn hard at it and it can work, or can be better than it is.
Keep at it, really there is no other choice anyway.
