Titers came back negative!

My doctor referred me to an infectious disease doctor and faxed the results of the test to him for reason I don't know what the next step is!

Am I doing the right thing?

Are there any suggestions you all have for me?

Like what questions to ask this new doctor.

Feeling so unwell and crazy at times! Confused and scared!

Crying a lot too! Can't seem to help myself!

Is there anything else that can mimic Lyme?

Been tested for MS and small cell lung cancer which can have similar symptoms!

P.S. Hope I'm posting this stuff right should I have posted a new thread or just replied ?

Hi Carrie!

Unfortunately an Infectious disease dr won't help you. You need to be looking for an ILADS trained, lyme literate physician. You can try the ID dr but don't get discouraged when they tell you you're mental (which we know you aren't!)

Nothing mimics Lyme disease - although it mimics over 300 other conditions!

I would echo what has already been said here about not seeing an ID doc and finding a LLMD, LLND or other Holistic doc that either understands these infections or is willing to learn!

Yup, I waited months to see an ID doctor and when I got there, she said "I don't know what you have, but it is not Lyme". I have never felt so helpless. Ever feel like the world is pulled from under your feet? That is what it felt like. She was my last hope after a long list of specialists who had said the same thing.

I finally found an LLMD, and on that day, my healing began.

So please, don't despair if your ID doctor can't help. There are some (although not many) ID doctors that understand Lyme. Lets hope your ID doctor is one of those. if not, don't give up until you find a doctor that is willing to heal you.
