I was on Biaxin almost 2 months, ordered by my 1st LLMD.

Then I added Ceftin, ordered by my 2nd LLMD, and took it about 2 weeks.

My 3rd LLMD ordered Doxy & Flagyl (said to stop biaxin & ceftin) I Have not started them yet. I stopped biaxin & cefttin the day before yesterday.

Should I start doxy first for 4 -5 days (to see if i can tolerate it) and then add flagyl? Should I keep taking ceftin while I start Doxy before adding flagyl? should I take a few days off all abx? I kinda want to see how I feel off any abx, but am a little afraid to stay off more than a day or 2.

LOL - I'm with ya shell. Did you call me? I didn't get a message. Anyway I'm here for ya and give me a call this weekend. I did ceftin + biaxin and pulsed flagyl.

If you trust #3 stop the ceftin and next day I would add in the doxy and then maybe after 5 days or so I would add in the flagyl. Since you have been on biaxin and ceftin I don't see you having a major herx to the doxycycline. Your bacterial load should be substantially less and if I remember correctly you herxed a little bit but nothing horrible and then felt a little better?
