Hello everyone! I want to ask 3 questions about lyme, if anyone can suggest anything i would be glad.
1. Can i find an online LLDM ? I would like to ask my questions via email, and would take suggestions. (there is no lldm in my country, but there is an unofficial doctor who is helping me via email, but i would like to hear more suggestions and thoughts if possible, because lyme is a strange disease)

2. I took antibiotics for nearly 1 year, then for 1 year i didn't have any problems, then lyme came back and i am using antibiotics for 7 months now(Doxycycline cefaks Macrol metronidazol Ketek Plaquenil artemisinin and bactrim. And i will stop using them again in 1 month.

The feeling lyme might come back any time in future is making me stressfull. Is there any suggestion that you can give me for this? I know i shouldnt let me immune system go down, and other than that is there any thing i can do ? AND if it ever comes back, how many months should i use antibiotics again? Can i use them for 1 month and would that be okay?

3. I am thinking of buying an Oxygen concentrator. Is it usefull? And can you suggest any product to me?

Welcome to our forum! Sorry to hear about the lyme coming back. If you send me an email, I might have some suggestions for you overseas in regards to doctors. I am glad, that you are finding someone that can help you in the meantime. One reason that many relapse if because of co-infections that come along with lyme may go untreated. Although it looks like your dr was addressing that.

How are you feeling right now? Can you get herbs in your country?

Many use a variety of methods to get well from lyme. Many - that stay well take precautions about diet and exercise very seriously because they don't want to get sick again. I can understand that of course! I would recommend checking out our new to lyme thread and learning about detoxing the body which is very important with lyme disease.

You could also look into alternatives that you might be able to do yourself. One that I used was buhner. His website is www.buhnerhealinglyme.com and he also has a book. There is also Cowden herbs, Zhang's Protocol, Jernigan protocol, Byron White formulas (herbal but need to be prescribed) and others I'm sure.

You could try in our search box putting " lyme jernigan" for example and see what comes up and what has worked for others. I do not know about the oxygen concentrater. I would suggest doing a search for that as well. Although it would make sense b/c spirochete bacteria HATE oxygen.

I guess from your name that you're Danish?

I'm British,but I live in Germany and MarieLS lives in Belgium.

If you can't get any help in your country you might think of popping over the border :-) We do have Lyme Literate doctors here but they are few and far between,you could google and see if there are any close to the border.

The alternative would be to take the herbal route,all the herbs and botanicals can be bought from amazon de,most of the companies deliver Europe wide.

And as Beth has said,please start to detox if you haven't already begun.

Tickled has already introduced me to you :-)

There are in fact a lot of Lymies that cross borders here in Europe (that is if you are in Europe). I personally know of Belgians and Dutch people going to Germany.
When I'm sitting in the waiting room at my dr's office, I'm stunned by all the different languages I hear: German, English, French, Spanish, Italian, Scandinavian languages. My dr often traveled (still does I think) to Norway to treat some of his bedridden patients there.

And like Tickled said: there is also the herbal route. There are several (many) posibilities, don't loose hope.
All of us have been looking, searching a lot, studying a lot.
There is a lot of knowledge gathered on this forum, it's a great place!

I am working here and i am feeling good, for this i don't want to go to Germany or another country.

I usally do sauna once or twice a week, i think i should increase this number for detox? Thanks.



Hello Mariels, as i said i don't thinking of coming right now.

Hopefull my lyme is not that effective, still i had permenant problems like a pain the the right knee cap, and seeing black lines (sometimes).

I am trying to understand what treatments people use for lyme. And ofcourse what triggers the relaps. Thanks again.

My first husband was born in Germany and my second husband was born in Istanbul, Turkey!  I even speak a bit of Turkish (I remember only the curse words though, yeah, I'm bad!).  And I have never left the U.S. except for the Carribean and Canada. 

Anyway, I became well using a protocol that you can find online which is Dr. Jernigan.  I first suggest buying his book (that is what I did) called "Beating Lyme Disease".  The only place that I know of to purchase his book is at his website:   www.hansacenter.com and then click on Store.

His "healing at home" protocol is outlined in his book and you can buy his botanicals from his website as well.  I personally don't care for the "packages" as I think they are too much money.    I think it's less money to buy what you need individually after reading his book. 

You can also leave a message on the hansacenter.com website and ask for information of any kind.
