Update and NEW Doctor, please read if you have Lyme and are not getting better

After a little over a year, I did not get better, I got worse. I have been stuck in bed for the last three months, in a wheel chair, and cane, only going outside for doctors appointments. I fall so much, and seize that it really became dangerous for me to do anything but lay in bed, and my legs would no longer work, so it has left me no other choice but to be in bed.

I saw a new LLMD on Monday, and before I went I spoke to a few of his patients. The reason for this is a LLMD is expensive, and this is my third one, it took me months to come up with the money, and I wanted to make sure this doctor was helping people, and not just taking people for a ride.

Anyway, so I talked to a lady and she suggested me taking a mold test before I went, it's 15.00 online, and I knew I was exposed to mold in my old house we had to move because of it. The test I failed horribly.

When I saw the LLMD I had all my symptoms typed out, and a timeline from the last 10 years of illiness and tests I have had done, This made the hour meeting go very smooth, and the doctor was very impressed with my work, it made it easier for both of us. In the past I would get to the doctor and forget what I was suppose to say, and leave upset , and confused, This time I did not.

So the doctor was pretty angry, that after 1 year and a positive Lyme test and 30 doctors later, how come no one ran

1. co infection tests
2. in debt mold testing , it was made clear by the test mold is in my eyes , and my brain causing nero issues

Needless to say on Monday , I am having 17 tests done , and hopefully get to the bottom of why I have had seizures for a year, since I got Lyme.

Another thing he did was proscribe Cholestyramine, it binds, and removes toxins, and mold from our bodies. I started it two days ago, and already see a 10 percent improvement in my legs, and the pain.

I guess the moral of my story is , if you have been sick with Lyme and you are not getting better, have the doctor check for mold or take the test online. Mold will stop you from getting well, also find a doctor that really looks at the whole picture, and not just the disease.

Where I was told we don't have Lyme, how wrong the doctors are.

Thank you, I will contact her, I also think that finding a doctor that knows more about Lyme then myself is key also.

I am in rough shape now, but I feel in my heart I will get better, I think we all can get better, if we find what will work for us, It's not a one drug fix all or a one protocol fix all.

I am so happy for you that you are seeing results. Seeing positive results makes it feel like the money was invested and not wasted on the new doctor.

I would also like to point out that in addition to mold, a viral infection can also make it hard to heal from Lyme. So if you are not getting better, talk to your doctor about viruses.

I am also in Illinois and like was told for years that there is no lyme in Illinois and therefore could never get tested. Finely got ELIZA test last fall but it came back negative. I feel I have been sick since 2005.

Took igenex test last month it was negative but still had some bands that were not negative.

Did u find an llmd in Illinois? I'm trying to find one that has success and experience. I don't want to b practiced on anymore.

Roxie, yes my llmd is in park ridge if you email me I will give you his info. I also saw two other llmd in illinos, so I can give feedback on them as well.

There is a virus fl853 I believe its called, its tick born and wilk not show up on standard test, fry labs can pick it up. I think I have this virus and more common then not.

Also heavy metal poison, mold, and a ton of others like ebv.

I hope to soon afford the test from fry, as there are so many different strands of this crap. Which bands do u have, I have band 23 it is Lyme specific.

Hello justme!!!! Please let us know how your tests go and the results. I've been praying for you. I'm heading home to NYC this month but my grandmother's house has to get tested for mold first before I stay there.

Cocoon, that's why I never believe doctors until I do my own research and then I ask questions. No matter if it's about lyme, cancer, or any other problems I will do research and if necessary read books pertaining to what I am curious about.

But that's me.. Not everyone is as curious as I am.. Everyone has a different mindset and I respect that.

Mold is a issue, especially black mold it can get into most every part of your body, and it causes neuro issues, just like Lyme. The LLmd you saw sounds lile the one last year I saw, he told me I cured myself, and told my doctor I was crazy.

Most of us with Lyme can't detox so how are we going to get the mold out? I think you need a new Llmd, especailly since you have a post test, I have been researching this disease, and the tests, what I read there are only certain reason a test would show post, if you had the lyme shot, if you have lupus, and third you have lyme.

Since I was told I had lupus, I had my blood checked, mine is Lyme.


I am going to find some links on mold and Lyme and will post later after I get back from the doctor.

Thank you everyone, I hope to get better, our bodies are like a onion, I have read this over , and over, we have to peel away the layers.

After this I am going after the heavy metals, because I know that is a issue for me also.

And we are checking co infections today.

I am on my third Llmd, since you have mold exposure to, we have a lot in common, in the begining I was so lost, and people on this website walked me through so much, I want to help.

Sometimes we just need to talk to other people that are going through similar tthings.
