babesia questions

I am starting to wonder if I also have babesia. I tested positive for lyme so that is not a

question, I tested negative for bart but my LLMD thinks I may have it anyway but she also said she

doesnt think I have babesia. I am looking at the symptom charts trying to see if I do but so many

of the symptoms are the same as lyme and bart that I really can't tell. I am on

ceftin, rifampin, and pulse flagyl do any of those hit babesia in case I do have it? I sometimes get

chills, I had insomnia before I started taking perscription sleep aids, I do have mood swings

but I don't know if that is just part of this process, I have air hunger, I used to have night

sweats months ago but havent noticed any since except maybe once, I have sore blood shot

sensative to light eyes, headaches, stiff neck, etc. What do you guys think?

I havent had any night sweats since the summer. A few nights back then I woke up drenched in sweat but that only happened a few times and hasn't since.

Drenching night sweats are a key symptom. M

Night sweats (or even daytime sweats) and the air hunger are enough to be quite concerned about having a Babesia infection. And having had the symptoms, even if it was a few months ago and then they disappeared is enough to cause concern that the infection is still present. The symptoms change around depending on how the body is handling the different infections and the different bacterial/protozoan loads.

I too would suggest that you consider treatment for Babesia - no matter what protocol you choose to use.

I understand your concerns, Tbrown. It's quite possible though that the Lyme and Bart bacteria are just dominating the scene right now, and that those drenching night sweats and air hunger that you have had was just a peak into the Babs symptoms.

When I started my Lyme and Bart treatments and for a while afterwards, I never had any Babs symptoms that I knew of....but about 3/4 or more of the way through my Lyme and Bart treatments, the Babs symptoms started coming on and kept getting stronger until I finally got into treatment for it.

So just remember that you could have a Babs infection by those symptoms and watch for the symptoms.

Hey Tbrown I also go the night sweats in the beginning and I believe it was from the abx moreso than the disease.

My happened only a couple of times and I felt it was due to abx. If it goes beyond that you may be looking at a diff issue, ie., coinfections etc.
