The llmd never saw a CD57 with such a high number as mine: 718.
What does this mean? I haven't taken any meds, only some tinctures.
Positive IGeneX.

I think others with Babesia (or related parasites - e.g., Protomyxzoa Rheumatica) may have high CD-57 numbers also.

Sad if this is the case, and the llmd never heard of it.
Thanks!

I'm not sure that the high CD-57 result means anything. Heather had a test run in August with a very low reading of 29, but she has been healthy as a horse for the last 3.5 years. The LLMD that ordered the test conducted a study on the CD-57 test, and he insists that the test is not always reliable as to indicating immune competence.
Here is a link to her journey which also includes a brief discussion on the significance of the low Cd-57 test in the context of her situation.

In a cocoon - you have to remember that the person that you saw wasn't really acting as a LLMD - no matter what they called themselves. Their actions just don't make any sense at all since they claim to have been trained with ILADS standards - since they didn't follow them.

I know I'm bringing up an old topic, but wondering if anyone else has tested high on CD57.
I tested almost 600. The doctor said this was good news. Not the LLMD doc. And while I understand that test numbers relating to Lyme and coinfections aren't perfect, they can be helpful. After doing a little research I found that elevated CD57 numbers could indicate active coinfections.
My most recent tests (last month) came back one positive Lyme band IGG, no IGM. Tested positive for Bart, Babs, and Ehrlichia IGG. Babs was really high, which I found surprising. We started treating babs a month before the test for a short time. I believe that brought it out this time. Results from an ultrasound revealed a somewhat enlarged spleen. Which Dr J in DC says is indicative of a Babs infection. Plus, I wake up gasping for air at night now..... Air hunger?
