Hi Kelliedee,
Welcome to our community! I'm so glad you found us.
Actually, what we are talking about
is not an allergy at all, but a rash from a specific infection that can be dangerous to some if it is not treated, and will lead to lots of health issues down the road even for someone that is healthy.
We are talking about
Bartonellosis, or as we call it here, Bart or Bartonella. As I said, this is not an allergic reaction, but a skin reaction to the infection that is ongoing in the body.
Shiitake mushrooms actually increase the immune function, so they can help fight infections like Bartonella and Lyme disease .
"The various Bartonella species appear to be adapted to specific hosts. Cats are the main reservoir for B. henselae, which causes approximately 20,000 reported cases of cat scratch disease per year in the United States. (As with many reportable diseases, however, the true incidence of CSD is underreported and generally believed to be considerably higher.) Bartonella are also found in numerous arthropods, including fleas (a known vector of CSD), biting flies, lice and ticks."

I hope you are okay now though.
