Hi all,

I know many of us (myself included) have been longing for an alternative to the expensive Young Living thieves oil. I recently learned of this brand and they have tons of essential oils. Some organic, some not but all are chemical and pesticide free. I am not affiliated with them in anyway but these oils are mucho more affordable then any others I've found that are reliable as well. You can get it on amazon also. The one posted below is the alternative to YL theive's oil at about 1/3 of the cost. turn

Thanks! There's a Lyme group here for people who use them, so I'll have to pass this on to them if I see any of them.

I haven't tried them yet, but now that I have a better understanding of them, I might.

Hi Lyme babe!

If you click on the pencil icon to edit your post, you will see at the bottom under options there are a few check boxes. One is to have an email sent when there is a reply to the thread, just check it and hit save to subscribe!

It's very important to get good quality essential oils. Thanks for sharing this, this is the first advice I got from someone who works with essential oil for her job.

I make my thieves oil myself cause I can't find it here in Belgium, and I wasn't ordering from the US soon. I have all the oils seperatly, so that I can use them for other applications/mixtures, a whole box of them. I think it is more cost effective like this...

You get what you pay for...

YL's oils are so expensive because they follow strict purity standards, and do not dilute their single oils in carrier oils (as is so common with less expensive companies).

Plant therapy has both diluted and undiluted. I'm not trying to knock YL - I think they have a great product but many can't afford to spend $40 for such a small amount. I wouldn't recommend a brand that I don't trust and though these aren't organic (though they have some) they are chemical/pesticide free.

I used this blend, I only buy organic good quality essential oils, I love mixing things myself :-) :

40 drops of Clove Essential Oil

35 drops of Lemon Essential Oil

20 drops of Cinnamon Essential Oil

15 drops of Eucalyptus Essential Oil

10 drops of Rosemary Essential Oil

IMHO the best oils are from Living Libations. Expensive but the best. I'm interested in looking at using them to treat Lyme but am having a hard time finding unbiased information about a Lyme protocol. Anyone have any good information sources?

2006-2007 - first symptom double vision, then neurological, headaches, tingling, numbness, fatigue, led to severe brain fog, insomnia, and chronic pain. At 12 months - total debilitation and bedridden 9 months
2007-2012 - diagnosed CFS/Fibro. Told by untold doctors it couldn't be Lyme. Tested negative in Ontario and "indeterminate" with igenex. Various treatments for CFS, natural and pharmaceutical
2012 - diagnosed chronic Lyme by NY LLMD and after 30 days of abx, received positive Igenex WB
2012-2013 - unsuccessful Bicom treatments and homeopathy
2013- 12 months of oral abx with limited success
2014- IV ceftriaxone, plaquenil, Zithromax, Flagyl, actigall (protect gall bladder), nizarole (anti-fungal), B12 injections, trazodone + temazepam (insomnia), ultram (pain), glutathione transdermal, Fish oil, vitamin D, methyl folate, milk thistle
