Sensitive to computer?

Lyme affects you in two different ways when looking at the computer:

Those of us infected are mostly light sensitive so looking at the display for long periods will make you anxious and weak. I have found that lowering the brightness and/or wearing sunglasses helps tremendously. I highly recommend polarized sunglasses. They eliminate the glare of the screen and it just makes it way, way better. Another benefit is that without glare, you are able to read the text better and your eyes and brain don't have to strain to read and this relaxes you.

The other reason that I have found that it affects me is when I need to scroll the screen. It is similar to what I experience when I walk with my head up. As the world around me moves, I get nausea, dizzy, and lose my step. I have to walk with my head down and my sight focused a few feet in front of me. When I am using my computer and begin to scroll or move my eyesight from left to right to read I get dizzy and nauseous. I have found that if I decrease the size of the browser or the screen so most of it fits without me having to scroll, it makes things a little bit better.

Some Lyme patients are sensitive to the EMFS and can't use computers, smart phones, etc. I know of one woman who is extremely sensitive to it and has to carry a meter around to check how much is in a building she's going to and if it's too high for her, she has to stay out. Hopefully you don't have that sensitivity or not as severe if you do.

I'm bothered by computers sometimes, feeling anxious, but it's usually when I'm extra tired.
