lyme and remission ..please some help

my question is can lyme go into remission by itself even without treatment ??

Also, can people have mild case of lyme where their symptoms are bearable and not severe and stay the same their entire life ??
OR at the end ALL infected people even mildly will get worse and worse and continue to deteriorate ???

I had meningitis from a tick when I was 8. It was absolutely horrible and I remember it to this day. I even remember the medication I took and what food I ate. Then I got better but always was mildly ill, random symptoms that now I understand were associated with Lyme. It was nothing anyone at that time could diagnose or treat. I went to school and later on college but was always tired with a number of low grade symptoms. I got bitten again 2 yrs ago and it took off since then.
