My daughter is very affected by light. During the winter she gets to sleep a lot later and wakes up later, but if it's a sunny day, she will switch back to getting to bed earlier and up earlier. Do any of you have this sensitivity too?
We've had snow here for the past 3 or 4 days and just the light reflected from that will get her up earlier, even if it's cloudy. She's just so sensitive to light. She can't use a SAD light, because it's too bright for her, so I'm looking into those wake up lights, that come on gradually to simulate a sunrise.
I don't think I've read of any other Lymies that are so affected by light. She has more energy during those times too and the last 3 days she has gone out for a walk, partly due to the snow since we don't get it often here. We have about
9 inches. It's about
to change back to rain, some of which will be frozen and will create a big mess on the roads and power lines. It was a nice powdery snow, something we don't see her in the valley too often. It's so pretty. I went on a 2 mile walk, but I've been paying for it since then, with stiff muscles. I fell once too, so that didn't help!
I didn't set out to walk that far, but it just felt good and I had extra energy. I was pretty tired that night. I'll miss the snow. It's just so pretty with it coating all the trees in the forest and with a solid blanket on the ground. You people who live in snowy country probably think I'm crazy!
