Does anyone else feel worse during cold and stormy weather? I'm in CT, and we're getting hit right now by another big storm. Seems that every time we get this snowy stuff or the temps drop below zero, I feel a bit worse. Is this just coincidence? And this storm is right before a full moon too :(

Is there anything that you do to help during bad weather or the full moon?

MrsPallas:) I know what you are saying! I live in Mo and we have had sub below temps off and on for weeks now!! When I'm in the house I'll wear soft warm fuzzy pj's. It keeps me warm and the softness soothes my joint pain! Do you have a good heating blanket? I wrap myself like a cocoon and crank it up!! smilewinkgrin   Some of the others use a warming mat of some kind. I think it might be called a bio mat? I hope this winter ends soon!!!

I'm definitely over winter, even before being really sick I hated winter!

Even though I have Lyme, I feel blessed because I am not as sick as I could be, I have some really rough days, and sometimes weeks, but I am still at this point able to work, and do most of what I used to at home. I probably can't do either as good as I used to, but I can still do them. :)

With that being said, I'm at work, so I can't really wear my pj's or have a heated blanket, you get bet your buns that the first thing I'm doing when I get home is curling up under and blankie by my fireplace!

I have an electric blanket that I bought last year when i was pretty ill. I loved it. My husband was worried I was continuously overheating but man oh man it helped for sure!

Having an incredibly difficult time. I will say, I don't tolerate the heat well either though.

Seems like when the weather changes, and yesterday the big storm was coming our way (WV) and I started getting the dizzy/vertigo thingies going and the bummer was I felt great all day, this is my week without ANX. At least I got most of the day being good but now today the dizzy has passed.

I feel for you guys over there.

We're having rain rain rain and autumn temperatures.

We just thawed out after our 2nd cold snap. If I get chilled, it bothers me, but I dress in layers when I'm inside. I have a Biomat that I used after being out in the snow and it helped a lot. It heats deeper than a heating pad.

My knuckles are absolutely killing me, and I have to go shovel about 10 inches of snow, plus a two-foot snowdrift that's blocking my stairs. sad sad

Yep, Ive just about had it with this "icy vortex" here on the East Coast.

Im from the Arizonan desert, so there are times I simply do not want to deal with this.

I spent 10 yrs in FL and this is my last winter up here in the north, I haven't seen grass for a month or more. Seems like snow storm after snow storm hits, but starting next Wednesday it's going to be in the 50 for at least 4 days.

I hope by the time late spring hits that all my symptoms will be gone and I can enjoy the outdoors, golfing and gardening.

Yeah.. The cold makes me feel itchy, tired, uncomfortable, and give me involuntary movements. I hate it.
