Who tested negative on a non Igenex test?

What bands showed up if it was negative? I'm just curious, it seems like just about everybody fails the lyme test. I've been talking to my cousins friend who has had for 15 years, cam back negative for everything to find out later he had it. Doctors even cut his never because they couldn't figure it out, now he's permanently damaged in his legs. So terrible sad

Through MD Labs I had no bands on the IgM and band 41 on the IgG.

IGeneX was a whole nother story. On the IgM I was positive on bands 31, 34, 41, 83-93 and IND on 39. On the IgG I was quadruple + on 41 and IND on 31, 34, 39 and 83-93.

IGeneX rocks!

That's crazy.. Was the second test take close to the first test?

5-6 months after. I think IGeneX is the only lab to include bands 31 and 34 and report INDs which is huge.

What bands did you get on your negative results.. I got a 41 IGM on mine. I should be getting an Igenex test soon.

I have Ehrlichia which came back negative on FOUR different tests. The one that was finally positive was LTT Elispot from Germany.

Me. I don't know, I wasn't educated on bands back then. I was just told 'negative'.

Seems like a lot of people get a negative result with a p.41 band showing.

I was negative in 1990 and had the tick with me, and had the rash... was treated with 2 weeks of doxy.

In November 2012 - November 2013 prior to treatment I received negative results from the WB with positive bands for IgG 58 & IgM 23. In January my labs were redone with the following positive bands... IgG 23 & 41. IgM 23, 41, 58

18, 23-25, 30, 31, 34 = Positive
39, 83-93 = IND

1/18/08, Quest Lab: Overall Negative
WesternBlot IgG: Negative
Reference Range: >= 5 bands positive = Positive Result
Bands 41 & 66 Positive
(Bands 18, 23, 28, 30, 39, 45, 58, 93 Negative)

WesternBlot IgM: Negative
Reference Range: >= 2 bands positive = Positive Result
Band 23 Positive
(Bands 39, 41 Negative)

7/25/08, Mayo Clinic lab:

WesternBlot IgG: Negative
Band 41 Positive
Reference Range: >= 5 bands positive = Positive Result

WesternBlot IgM: Positive [CDC Positive, Reportable Result]
Band 23 & 39 Positive
Reference Range: >= 2 bands positive = Positive Result

I tested negative on two past tests years apart. Also negative on IGENEX but had some lyme bands , 31,34,41,83-93.

This is what I've seen as well.
I tested negative several times, most with Labcorp. It wasn't until I had 12 months of really strong (even for Lyme!) doses of Minocycline that I finally tested positive for Lyme and RMSF - twice!

Yes I also had a negative result with only band IGG 41 positive on Western blot, non IgeneX

I was ruled negative with band igg23 present. I had first LLMD appt yesterday. Dr is 99% sure I have Lyme & bart, possibly other co-infections. My igenex kit has been ordered. Follow up appt with LLMD in approx four weeks.

I don’t know what most of this means but apparently the first one is positive and the second one is negative based on IgeneX standards. All other Lyme tests I took through Quest Diagnostics were negative.

Akkami, check this out:
Band 18 = flagellin (tail of the bacteria) fragment

Band 31= OspA (Outer Surface Protein "A") specific to Lyme disease - may take up to a year to develop.

Band 39= BmpA (Bacteria Membrane Protein "A") specific to Lyme disease

Band 41= Fla B another part of the tail of the bacteria

Band 58 = this is still being debated as to what it signifies.

Band 66= cross reacts with other things

The only way to have a bacteria that is specific to a disease or infection in your blood is to actually have the disease or infection.

Information really is power with these infections. It drives me nuts that more good, solid information isn't out there. So many, including many LLMD's don't get their facts straight. We all make mistakes and may not be aware of a new study or information from time to time - but information about these tests should be understood by those delivering the news!
