Wow, you folks are great for boosting morale. Maine, that's pretty funny about
your Mom. Sounds like a good person to have as a Mom. I'm sure my Mom would have been super supportive as well.
Pathogen, those are both interesting points. But around here, I've often waited more than an hour, and people seem to take it for granted.
It's kind of ironic that folks with a history of such intense chronic illnesses as we have don't have PCPs or can't find one!!!
John, they tell me the same thing about
my age, except I'm in my 50s. You know, that time of life, ha ha. It's all about
depression, and nothing else.
LearnLyme, it's all about
tests: Tests, tests, and more tests. My vet finally told me we didn't need to retest my dog Sophie, bc she had the rash (yet again). The first test cost mongo money, what with coinfections etc.
Hey KS, you read my French, didn't you! If you see her, tell Marie I said hi! Now that's a long plane ride!
MamaV, hi there fellow North Carolinian! I got one of my Lyme infections in Chatham County. That place is a hotbed for Lyme, bc a neighbor of mine got it there too. But now I live in Western NC, and it's a three hour drive. I do have a friend who sees him, so maybe I could ride with her. I've heard that he's really expensive though, and that his PAs aren't very good. Is that true, and would I have to see a PA before I saw him? The Chatham County neighbor went to see him, and had to see a PA first, and she was so turned off, she didn't go back. I did once see Dr. F. I don't know how much she knows about
Lyme either, except that she's had it herself. She was so busy though on the day she saw me (and my ex bf), that she almost cancelled our appointment, until she realized we had driven three hours. Well, I'll see if you have an email, so I don't have to babble on and on. If you don't, could you email me?
Thanks all, Margaret
