Hi all. New here. After a year of unsuccessful diagnoses through my PCP I ran my own labs and got a positive result on Friday. When I called my PCP she had nothing to say but "huh."


Any recs for a dr in Pittsburgh area? You are all wonderful!

Thank u! Through the process of elimination I wanted to rule out lyme. Now that I look back at the last year every single symptom was all lyme related. Sad that my dr couldn't see that and I wasted a year of my life feeling like I was dying. Hopefully I see a rec! I've found one but he's pretty far, didn't know if there were any closer.

Sorry about your experience, and welcome to "our world". eyes Many doc's don't understand much of anything with these infections, but that's why we have each other - to share the information that we have so that others can benefit!

I go to one who is a little over an hour outside of Pittsburgh.

There is a lyme specialist (not an LLMD, that I'm aware of) at West Penn, but he has a wait list of about 6 months or more.

I go to a Lyme specialist in Mt. Morris, PA, right across the WV PA border. He has a lot of Lyme patients. If you want more details, email me.

Could someone please somehow tell me who near Pittsburgh. Misdiagnosed, very immunosupressed due to 10 yrs of iv steroids, chemos, etc..was rebutted 6 wks ago and nobody does anything. Gestational Lyme...now have seizures, palsy of face, cardiac issues, bed bound in mostly dark, quiet and alone with 2 dogs.

The LLMD I Hermitage is booked for Months. I have to wait till March for first app
