desperate4dx - I see you're in south jersey - do you think you could please email me the name/info for the integrative doc you're seeing?
It's always so tough to balance getting conflicting information from different kinds of doctors - so much easier to just have one person tell you one thing and assume that's how it is. It can be good though to get different opinions.
Ultimately it's up to you what you want to do - whether you want to keep up with the old treatment or make the changes your new doctor has suggested. People usually do well with a well-rounded treatment plan of conventional medicine and more holistic treatments, but for some people it gets too confusing, and it's easier to do one or the other at a time. Personally I've flip flopped back and forth between the two, depending on what my body seems to be needing at the time. If your LLMD is open-minded you can just tell him/her what this new doctor said, and go from there. I know doctors don't usually like to hear that another doctor said what they're doing is wrong, so that can be a tricky subject, but at the end of the day it is your treatment and your body so it can be so simple as saying "this type of treatment doesn't seem to be doing the trick for me right now, I'd like to try this for a while."
And I agree that you should find a holistic/biological dentist!
