second day of antibiotics

I'm just wondering if it is possible to start feeling better after only 2 days of antibiotics. Is it just wishful thinking or is it actually making me feel better? Maybe I just feel better because I actually know what's wrong now!

Its possible. For me the difference on antibiotics was night/day. I still had setbacks but no question within 24hours I felt better. Not good by any means but 'better'. :)

Mine kicked in after 4 days. I felt the same for those 4 days and then I started feeling better so I'm sure it's possible.

I don't mean to burst your bubble but I felt so good for 5 days and then started to feel alittle weak and achey. Now I am sick for 2 days
but it is not to the degree of sick as before. So maybe there will be
less and less sick days and then gone! I am just guessing on this,
maybe some of the veterans can comment on it.

But the good days are sx free so that is worth so much--I could
hardly believe how good I was feeling...

I was told I could feel worse before I really felt better and only have one really bad incident and the others where pretty mild like I had a 24 hr flu, that didn't raise my blood pressure for days.

I would also think if you didn't have it long the easier your treatment would be. I've had it 15 yrs so although I feel better after 4 months, I am not even close to feeling like my old self, I still have pain almost every day at some point.

so glad for you! I was wondering how your appt. went, I remembered you'd said it was Monday. I'm so glad to hear you're able to start the antibiotics and they're making a difference!

When my son started the antibiotics we noticed an improvement fast too, like day three, in his energy level. He's been on them for almost five weeks now, and although he still isn't over this yet, I can see a difference for the better, somedays more than others, but still a difference.

I'm glad you've started on your treatment and are on the way to getting through this and feeling well again!

Still feeling better. Day 3 of antibiotics. Cefroxime.
Went to an allergist today and found out that I am not allergic to penicillin like my mom has always told me. LOL. I am going to have to sell my wife's cat though, LOL

Hoping to put a full days work in tomorrow, love feeling better.
