I was adding a tablespoon of coconut oil to gluten free oatmeal every day. I needed to take a break from the oatmeal, so I've just been taking the coconut oil on its own after breakfast. Two days in a row I've experienced what I think is a strong die off reaction shortly after (upset stomach). Do you think it's yeast die-off? Is coconut oil stronger when you eat it on its own? Thanks so much!

hmmm... I don't know. I eat coconut oil all the time, have been doing it even before Lyme. I don't notice anything, no die off reactions, no improvement in symptoms either.
Everyone is different though.

Hey Bluebyyou,
I have definitely experienced that before. I once did a coconut oil cleanse and it produced some of the worst candida herxes I have ever experienced. When I brought it up with my LLND he said "Well of course!". I was essentially starving and attacking it at the same time as coconut oil is a powerful anti viral.

It could be your stomach is sensitive to it, but tolerates it when it's diluted in something. It bothers my throat when I take it by itself and I wonder if i have a slight allergy to it.

Did it give you loose stools, because coconut oil can do that regardless.

I started eating it back about
a year ago and actually I started dropping the pounds, for several yrs I started gaining weight and couldn't lose for nothing. That was the only thing different at the time but I have since changed it drastically.
